Tatura, in central Victoria, is a plain course by design — no rises, no falls, cambered turns that are all much the same shape. A long sweeping home turn leads into a short run to the post, which keeps the finish honest rather than tactical. The club moved to its current ground in the early eighteen-eighties and rebuilt the track early this century.
