Gawler is the Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club's course, north of Adelaide on the edge of the Barossa, and one of the few racecourses in the country with its own railway station. A long final turn tends to favour runners drawn inside over the shorter trips, and there is a grass training track and a sand track inside the course proper.
