About this course
Turf
Richmond races in north-west Queensland, where the turf club was formed in the nineteen-fifties expressly to link the western towns into a circuit running between Mount Isa and Charters Towers. Its biggest day is tied to the Richmond Field Days, and the course doubles as a venue for the district's fossil festival and agricultural shows.
