Kensington is the inner track at Randwick rather than a separate racecourse — the course proper's smaller sibling, used chiefly for midweek metro meetings and for trials. It still has the scale of its neighbour: a full-sized circuit on Turf, run clockwise, with a long straight by any measure other than the track it sits inside.

Because it carries midweek grade rather than the feature days, the racing reads differently from Randwick's own.
