About this course

Doomben sits beside Eagle Farm at Ascot, Queensland and has raced since 1933, the tighter and shorter-strided of Brisbane's two metro courses. It turns clockwise on Turf, and its drainage is the thing locals will tell you about first — the track handles rain that would trouble most grass circuits, which is why the calendar leans on it through a wet Brisbane summer.
